Our History
BETA has been around for more than 30 years and was founded in 1987 by Ove Skytte. Initially, the company was purely a trading business primarily based on NTC thermistors, where resistance is negatively dependent on temperature. Today, BETA supplies NTC thermistors with an accuracy better than ±0.05 ºC.
Later, we also began supplying other types, including…
- Platinum sensors (Pt100, Pt1000, and others)
- Semiconductor sensors of various types and/or manufacturers
- Nickel sensors in different resistance values
- PTC thermistors, which have a large positive temperature dependence but, in return, contain relatively poorer tolerance
Recently, we have also started working with the integration of thermocouples and thermostats.

We supply sensors in many different enclosures tailored to individual needs, so if you need temperature-sensitive components or complete temperature sensors, it’s worth contacting us and telling us about the task. We can contribute with our knowledge and experience and help with suggestions for solving the task.
